Tonight I was visiting U Bulínů for the first time and it was a real pleasure. It was my first time eating Czech cuisine and I decided to share this experience with my family during their visit. I made the reservation by call two days in advance.
About U Bulínů
U Bulínů is a traditional Czech restaurant located close to the metro station Náměstí Míru, only few stops away from the city centre. The interior is a mixture of old and new furniture and decoration. The coloured tiles at the wall, crazy pictures and a big vitrine with old antique stuff make a quite cosy atmosphere.
Food and service at U Bulínů
The service was really good, ordering in English was no problem the waiter could also speak German as well. The menu is full of different traditional Czech food but even vegetarian dishes were available. I ate duck with red cabbage and dumplings and it was really tasty.
All in all every five dishes were excellent, the meat was really soft and delicious. They are offering different types of beer Kozel, Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus, but I also liked the homemade lemonade. The dessert (a fudge choclate cake) was the highlight, even if I don’t think that this is a traditional Czech dish.
However I would definitly recommend that restaurant. Price-service range is good.
